Albert Londres House

1. Albert Londres House   2. Albert Londres House   3. Albert Londres

With its two turrets and its neo-Gothic style facade, the House attracts the eye but not only that… it also invites the mind to immerse itself in the life of a Vichyssois who made the history of journalism. It was within the walls of this house built in the 1820s that Albert Londres was born on November 1, 1884.
Albert Londres marked the history of journalism and continues to inspire our contemporaries today. What could be more natural than making the birthplace of an illustrious journalist the home of investigative journalism, as close as possible to the field.

EXHIBITION

Let’s embark with Albert

Exhibition retracing Albert London’s trip from October 1921 to November 1922 in five countries: China, Korea, India, Indochina, Japan.

Visitors will discover cities, Port Said and Colombo for example, with signs along the way and postcards sent from these ports. They will discover articles and the style and discoveries of Albert, like Claudel in Japan, and other stopover cities Tokyo, Osaka. Same principle in China or Indochina, India or Korea.

The exhibition also reveals the hotels where Albert Londres went and his personal life in reporting, his feelings, through letters addressed to his loved ones.
